How deep the Father's Love for us

What a sweet reminder! Thankful that this song by Joy Williams just came on the radio!
How deep the Father's love for us, how vast beyond all measure
That he should give his only son, to make a wretch his treasure
How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turned his face away
As wounds which mar the chosen one, bring many sons to glory

Behold the man upon a cross, my sin upon his shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held him there until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life; I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything: no gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ; his death and resurrection
Why should I gain from his reward? I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart: his wounds have paid my ransom
Because of Calvary,

My Heart is Heavy

I try to keep up with as many people as I can even if that means I only have a few minutes to read about their lives on facebook. I have seen a common thread among you, a grieving heart. There seems to be a lot of hurting people going through a variety of different things.
So I come to you today as an encouragement.

John 16:33 says, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
I pray that today you would find peace in Christ alone. Take a few minutes today to sit in bask in his glory. Let him love you and rest in his everlasting arms. May God richly bless you in this season as you face trials and tribulations. He is with you and will never forsake you.
Our God is good!
Because of Calvary,
