Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day reminds me of two things:

1. God is a worker!
2. On the Sabbath, God rested.

God is a worker, and when we work, we reflect his character and attributes. God worked for six days and rested on the seventh. That is how he made our bodies. We must rest to revive. This is why he created sleep, the Sabbath, and now the government to organize holidays such as this. God's rest is not going to be an annual event, but rather a daily experience as we rest in the Lord and also weekly as we take time off to celebrate life, family, and friends.

Labor Day... What an interesting concept...
