The afternoon was a great time of fellowship. We went downtown Standford and ate dinner in a special restaurant on I think the 18th floor of a gorgeous building. My host and his family and friends treated me to a great steak and since I was due for a good steak, I dug in! I stuffed myself so much, I thought someone was going to have to roll me out of there, that was if I would fit through the door! I thought I was going to pop!

Greenwich, CT
On Sunday, I spoke in three morning services in Greenwich, CT. The three services were just amazing. They were finished in a flash because the Lord was moving. God saved his people and blessed those in attendance. I challenged people to believe that with God you cannot fail and without Him you can do nothing!

Men's Retreat
On Firday evening, I spoke at the Men's retreat in the evening main session, challenging and encouraging the men to persue after their lost territory and recover all... Lost influence, position, intimacy, or physical loss including health or monetary.
In I Samuel 30, God encouraged David and his men to go after their enemies, overtake them and He promised David that as he obeyed, he will absolutely recover all the lost/stolen properties, children, wives, etc. that the Amerikites had captured.

Connecticut Trip
It was great to see Connecticut in the fall... beautiful colors of the trees, the brisk breeze against my face...
From the plane view above to every place I went, it was so wonderful!
In Africa, we definitely have a green, tropical climate but absolutely no fall season... so we never see these multi-colors!

Ohio This Weekend!
This weekend in Ohio, God was amazing! We had a great number of people return for the evening services, which was wonderful to see! We received sponsorship for a great number of children, almost 70! Also, I prayed for each person there (and there were a whole lot!). By the end, I was so exhausted yet overfilled with joy and love. Thank you, God, for speaking through me!

Technical Schools in Uganda
http://allafrica.com/stories/200910120535.html
I found this article, and it makes me happy to see that Uganda is concentrating on technical education for its people. The people of Uganda show an overwhelming yearning for learning (wow! I rhyme!), and it is refreshing to see that the government is also trying to give Ugandans abundant resources to do so. Enjoy the reading.

AIDS in Uganda
http://allafrica.com/stories/200910120783.html
I found this article. I think it is a good read to those that don’t fully understand the prevalence of AIDS in Uganda.
It also shows some of the measures Uganda is taking to prevent further spread of this awful disease, which is always refreshing to know that the country you give your sweat, tears, and blood to wants improvement just as much as you do!

Experience in Uganda - Tiffany Gosvener

Tiffany Gosvener at Uganda Orphan - Christian Life Ministries
“The summer of 2009 was my third trip to Uganda and working at the Seeta Orphan Village. People ask me about how hard it is to number one go and live in Africa and number two how to come back home after having witnessed what life is like over there. The poverty that is prevalent in parts of Uganda is not what leaves the biggest impact on my life but it is the people. God’s ability to change lives and bring hope and peace is seen on every face at Seeta Orphan Village and all around Uganda. These people have faced unimaginable hardships all throughout their lives but God has transformed their sorrow into joy. Uganda has become a second home for me. My happiest days are those that I spend at the Seeta Orphan Village and I am just as comfortable there as I am at home. I have developed great friendships with many children there, children who have taught me how to pray, worship, and have faith in an amazing God. There is not a day that goes by where I am not thinking about the orphans of Uganda and what I can do here in America to bless them. One of my favorite things about going to Uganda is being able to witness how God can use the giftings of Americans and the giftings of Ugandans to equally bless each other more than the other could imagine possible all the while giving all glory to God and building His kingdom” –Tiffany Gosvener

God will save America!
Is it true that America has reached a point beyond human help? Is it true that the layers of unconsistency and disobedience are so thick that it will require a great move of God to peel them off the fabric of the nation? When you watch the media or hear talk shows, it may sound and feel that way, but I believe as we commit to strategic, coordinated, desperate prayer, God is able to transform this beloved nation. For sure we cannot heal ourselves but God promised that He will!
2 Chronicles 7:14 -- if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Church Planting Mission Trip
One of the things we wish to emphasize during next summer’s mission trips is church planting around Kampala. Of course, people will have the ability to serve other ministries like the orphan ministry, etc. We are asking churches to come to Uganda to plant a church. A church or even an individual can sponsor a church planting, which will include buying a small piece of land, building the church structure, plus outreach that will enable the church to be launched. If this is a timely decision, we can do all of the preparation to have the church launched during your mission trip. This could be a life giving moments for you and the rest of your church group or mission trip team.
Please call or email us if your group or church would like to plant a church in Uganda. info@christianlifeministries.org or 972-307-LIFE

Isaiah 25:9
Today in my devotional, I read Isaiah 25 verse 9. It is about an answered prayer to waiting people. In brief, it says one day you shall say, “This is our God. We have waited for him.”
I pray that you’ll experience this in your own life and be able to say, “This is my God!” Not once… Not twice… but many times!
But as you wait upon the Lord, I pray that you see him come through for you.

Orphan of the Week
We never got a sponsor for Gertrude, so she will remain our orphan of the week. Here is her information again:
We estimate her age to be 11 years old. She is now housed in Seeta, and her ID# is 6367.

Background information:
o Gertrude’s father died, and he left her mother to take care of seven children.
o Gertrude’s mother is jobless and has no way to support her children.
o Gertrude was brought to the orphan village with hopes to be able to go to school and be taken care of.
o Gertrude dreams of becoming a very powerful lady.
Help Gertrude have all of her needs provided for by becoming her sponsor or spreading the word with us to get her a sponsor. Full sponsorship, which will cover all of her needs as well as her tuition, is only $60 per month, or we can take two partial sponsors at $30 per month.
When you sponsor a child, you allow us to take in more children off of the streets of Uganda and put them in a loving home with a caring village!
To become Gertrude’s full or partial sponsor, call 972-307-LIFE (5433) and tell us you want to sponsor Gertrude! Or, you can email us at info@christianlifeministries.org.

Organ Transplants in Uganda
The president of Uganda announced that the government would be providing funds for equipment needed for surgeons to be able to perform organ transplants, including cornea transplants. This is big news in Uganda, since this has not really been an option in the past.

I think stories like this are inspirational. People that get together for a cause can make a huge difference. I appreciate their role in preventing Aids in Uganda because Aids is one of the leading reasons Uganda’s streets are filled with orphans. We enjoy taking care of our children, but we are always trying to make changes that will lead to less orphans on the streets.
God bless you all, and have a wonderful week!
