The Change We Want to See in Uganda

At first glance, when a person takes a look at Ugandaand the many happenings of such a busy country, it might be easy for one to develop a pessimistic attitude. However, when taking a deeper look, we are finally being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for this country! In today’s society, it isn’t uncommon to hear about the continent of Africa, the turmoil in its countries, the poverty, orphans, AIDs, etc, but thanks to the fact that that this atrocity has been shown to others, we are finally beginning to see a change in the continent; the change its countries have been waiting for!
More and more resources from governments, as well as other donors, are being poured in to better establish hospitals, which will provide much needed medical care to the country of Uganda’s inhabitants. The amount of money going toward this healthcare development is almost 90% of the entire government of Rwanda’s budget; 1.3 Trillion Ugandan Shilling. (The Independent, theindependent.co.ug) The economy itself, the education system; it is all growing at amazing rates. Thanks to many organizations, mission trips, and other volunteers, the country’s abandoned children are able to find sponsors who are able to, with just a small portion of their time, able to change lives.
Regardless of what we hear in the media, read in the newspapers, or see online, there are a lot of positives that we do not always see concerning Uganda. Through prayer, through the generosity of others, and through the grace of God, we can change the lives of many in this country!
